Why consider entering such a competition and
what are the benefits?
The education industry in Taiwan is big business. This has led to
the current situation where the market has become saturated by the
opening of too many schools. The need for schools to attract new
students has become greater than ever due to the increase in competition.
Schools constantly have to come up with new ideas to appeal to
the parents. Taiwan in general is not a sport orientated nation,
but the younger generations of parents are now encouraging their
children to participate in sporting activities. A recently conducted
survey aimed at kindergarten parents showed great enthusiasm for
sporting projects such as the soccer/football program we are initiating.
After working in a school for the past eighteen months that was
involved in a three day soccer/football competition, I witnessed
first hand the enthusiasm and support shown from parents for their
children participating in the event. AMAZING!
Considering that word of mouth can be either the best form of advertising
or equally as damaging from a business sense, can your school afford
not to be involved in a project such as this, when the majority
of schools approached have shown such a positive response to entering
into the competition? “Why doesn’t our school have a
school soccer/football team?” is a question that is sure to
come from a parent when they hear of other schools participating
in the kindergarten cup. |
